Talking Hillbilly Chrome....Silver Metallic

OK I was getting the Balt cleaned for the show at the Tuner Bash and decided to paint a few things Silver Metallic.

center caps, no more nasty gold bowtie!

cup holder, it almost matches the dash!

screw covers in door handle, looks better than plain black!

I like it, breaks up all the graphite in the car, and love the center caps, like I said no more NASTY ASS gold bowtie! Now I need to do something with the one on the wheel!

this is a side note but thanks for the good deal on the DC strut bar. I love it. the handling is noticeably better.

Rust-Oleum #7271 Silver Metallic. It is the closest I could find to match the rest of the Trim.

strut bars in the front don't make any difference in handling..they just look cool.

Do you have anything to back that up or are you just one of those guys who comes in here says some crap and leaves? A front strut bar will help decrease body roll. Whether that equates to any more Gs on the skid pad I don't know. You can feel the car flexing less in the corners though.

How did you go about painting the bowtie on the wheels? Does that center piece just pop out? I've been wanting to do that for awhile...

Take the wheel off and the cap just pushes out. Sand them, 3 coats of paint, pop them back in. Done.

In orderr to feel the flexing of the front subframe of the car you would have to be doing excess of 100mph in the corner. chances are you aren't...so you don't...go back to painting your bowties.
