Well my hood received some very unwanted scratches on it the other night when i was over at my girlfriend's apartment. So i decided i am going to be repainting my hood.

I was thinking about doing red with a gray pin stripe? what you guys think? by brake caliper's are red an i am looking forward in getting some red and black rims. pic is un-updated.

The red would only be in the area in the middle of the hood. where it indents down would remind black, the gray pin stripe would be on the outer edge of the red.

My friend had a black Eclipse and painted his hood red, it was awful... and so is this. DON'T, just don't.

green does look alrighttt. but red on a stock hood nahhhhh

dont paint your stock hood like that but that green on that other ss is legit

 

wait.. so you guys are telling him that you like a LIME GREEN hood (aftermarket or not)... but red.. OH NO! NOT RED! ..cuz.. you know.. that would just look stupid..

 

If you're going to re-paint it, just go with black!

 

Get it painted black. Anything else will look dumb unless you have the rest of the car painted to match it. Like a two tone scheme. Whatever you do, do not paint it yourself.

 

*Dislike button* Get satin black racing stripes down the car with a red pinstripe. Maybe that would look ballin and compliment the eventual rims. I dunno, its an idea. But some random red on the hood in front i dont think will look good. MAYBE, just maybe, do the hood the way I used to have mine when the car was yellow n I had black stripes down the sides, maybe red would look DECENT. like the cobalt on the bottom right in this pic
