Hood inlay for CAI

Since my hood needs repainting anyway, I would like to do a single or dual matching inlay for the CAI on the drivers side.
Are there any good aftermarket inlays that can be modified to duct to a CAI out there?

Don't do it. Any sort of ram air type intake ***** with the MAF.

How's that?

The MAF measures air flow whether it is sucked through or blown through.

Here's a quick crash course. GM Dealer Trainer for 20+ years

The air temp entering the MAF is measured by an NTC thermistor
The PCM heats an element (on GM MAF's) 167F above ambient.
The air passing through the MAF will always cool the heated element which changes its resistance and required current to keep it constantly 167F above ambient.
Air temp, density and humidity all effect the cooling. The faster the cooling effect the cooler or denser the air charge.

Well if you are referring to when you SC your 2.4 if you are running a CAI it will be in the driver fender well not the engine bay.

A headwind can cause issues with a SRI under a hood behind a shield.

There a guy with a 07 LS 2.2 that he SC and had a shop make a custom intake that went where his coolant reservoir went. They moved the coolant reservoir to the passenger side.

Yeah.... That's a tight fit. Probably better to go through the front.

Simple, Turbulence. Maf for these cars need a nice straight flow of air for accurate readings.
You could do a ram air setup but you would probably need to put a honeycomb in front of the maf to clean up the airflow.

I can do that... There are a ton of dead Bosch MAF's out there and some even better flowing aftermarket honeycombs. It's just that they add resistance.
