Hood Pins...

Okay, I did a search which = nothing...

I read a little B.S. saying they are not necessary to install, unless, racing, high speeds,
X-cross, etc... Well, I am not worried about any of that stuff. I have herd a few stories bout people hoods fling on them and cause a crash or crazy damage. My CF Hood is secured but it takes that one day and I dont need that with having a kid and possible another on the way so dont need the risk... So which one do you think, CHECK LINK BELOW...

I was thinkin about them too. I helped a friend install them on a new mustang gt and there pretty cool. Id say go for it using the sparco's and let me know how it goes. Cant hurt can it?!?! Just be careful with the drilling....... Thats what scares me

I dunno. It depends on the hood. Because it could look sloppy if it comes out wrong. WHat hood do you have? And I can't imagine them on a cobalt really.

Okay. If it had a scoop or something in it i would go against it. but it is the double sides CF hood. I don't think it would look bad.

Good call. Not too many people know/willing to admit their limits.

I would use the standard latch also just to prevent someone from opening your hood in a parking lot and Fing with stuff or stealing your hood. I would trust the Sparcos myself.

i had a JSP cf hood on my last car.and i did not have hood pins.. your hood is equipt with a double latch system that wont let it fly up.. also drilling cf is VERY tricky it can splinter and crack around the holes.. i honestly dont see any problem with it.. it will shake a bit at hign speeds

I will be using a set once my project is finished, just to keep everyone out.

The one you have now would look the best to me. I'm getting the RK sport cf vented hood. I don't think it would look right on mine as there is already something going on there. The only one i think would look good...is probably the SS style hood.
