How to clean Recaro seats?
I have stains on my seats from a damn leaky water bottle. got some interior cleaner from walmart and it only made it worse. Whats the best way to clean the recaro's?
I work for sears carpet cleaning and anything over the counter like resolve or those cleaners in s bottle will only ruin your seats. Mr.slobalt has the right idea with the steam cleaning. You need to put an alkaline cleaner down and extract it with steam and an acid rinse to bring the fibers back to new. Pretty much call a sears carpet cleaning or Stanley steamer and they will be like new. It's 85$ for the whole car that's including carpet. Just a heads up water stains are very diff to get out and may be perm
bissel mean green extractor. i have to use this on cobalts, neons, ford trucks, malibu's, anything with cheap ass fabric that stains easy. there is a longer way of doing it, just involves an air compressor. the steam cleaners do NOT always work. you have to know exactly what you're doing with it in order to get it right without making it worse
To clean it right and make sure the seats don't go off the ph scale is east with the right equipment. Best bet for just spot cleaning is vinegar and water. So glad Im working here while going to school I get to clean my car out with the best equipment like every week.
i normally spray tuff stuff on stains and let it dit for awhile. spray a 2nd coat let it sit again and i have a bissel that uses heat to help extract the stain out. i use detailers pride heat extractor solution.
so steaming the seats wouldn't work..mine smell like BO it was my fault for sweating and driving right after a work out...so once in a while it'll smell..any suggestions??
either A. move the stain itself. this involves compressed air. or B. mask it with the extractor. if you steam it. use the big triangle attachment with a towel around tightly. takes some time but you can get it out. extractor is faster.
I bought my recaros off ebay a while back. When they were delivered they arrived with orange spray paint all over the back (thankfully none on the mesh). I tried nail polish remover on a small area to see how it would work, and it slightly discolored the leather/vinyl.
Any idea what would work to get set-in spray paint out? Luckily there are no tears in these seats so I'd love to get them looking new again.
