Yeah, I permanently damaged my stock bowtie. Instead of waiting for one of our vendors to finally create some (which I probably won't like anyway) I decided to replace it myself.

Yeah, thats OPEL. I remember the "vendor" that made us all steering wheel badges, we pasid him, and he ripped us all off. So, you did the smart thing...and it doesn't look bad.

hey, on that note where does the existing plastic badge/center cap go now if the airbag was to deploy?
very interesting....
has anybody on here had a bag deploy and where did the plastic badge/center cap go????

i think the whole steering wheel cover folds up to expose the airbag... i do not think the wheel splits in half or anything. so, what sticker you have on the wheel makes no difference at all.

ahhhh.... so we could in theory... put anything on the wheel badge area with out fear of facial reconstruction

I manage a collision center and can tell you that putting a cap on the steering wheel is not going to hurt you. When the air bag deploys it rips through the steering wheel. The black viny/leather cover the airbag just get split open and pushed to the side. Your body will not actually come into contact with the steering wheel/airbag cover.
