How to fix curbed rims?

i used epoxy, just put it over the damage, and smooth it out, i think the brand i used was propoxy. it took about 15 min. to dry, then sand it smooth. but it will not be the same color as a stock rim, so you will have to paint it..

viruses suck (viri?)
anyways back to your question. it depends on how bad it is. if its just a little scuff on the rim take the tire off and go over the lip with a large flat file. if its a polished wheel then you will have to go over it with several pieces of sand paper, each one being less course untill your in the 600-800 range, then a little buffing and vola. for a painted wheel its not quite so easy, obviously filing will ruin the paint. you can either file the entire lip and have a shinny ring, or get some touch up paint for the spot you had to file.
for deeper gouges a file is going to take all day. get a body file (i think thats what its called) it looks like a big file, about a foot long and an inch and a half wide, and has teeth about 1/8 of an inch deep. they are pretty agressive and will either make things look great in a few passes, or totally F things up.
if its really bad, as in damage to the face of the wheel or a cracked lip take it to a wheel shop. they can do some amazing stuff. I've seen some wheels come back from a local wheel shop that went in looking absolutely trashed and turned out better than any new wheel i've ever seen. only costs around $50 a wheel (that will vary a lot i'm sure) but they can do anything you need done, and in the end your new wheel will look better than the other 3.
