Question How to remove headliner OUT of the car?

Hi everyone,

I want to redo my headliner in my 4 doors sedan.

I know how to remove it from the ceiling, but how do I remove it from inside the car??

I want to be able to work on it freely without damaging it but I can't figure on where and how to remove it from inside so any help would be appreciated!

I think from the trunk would be the easiest but I think I'll have to remove the back seats so anyone who have done it, give me some cue please! Thanks!

Well i can atleast tell you how to drop it..

Unscrew the OnStar mic (one turn clockwise by hand) and push through its hole

Undo sunvisors and clips via a starbit wrench (think its a 13?)

Pop the 'airbag' clips with a flathead on the a pillars and undo the bolts behind them think they are 10mm

Pull and end on the moonroof border and peel it off

Also if u have a moonroof pop off the button holder, pop out button and push through hole

Undo seatbelt guide thing on b pillars with a bigass starbit , then pop out the b pillars

Think the c pillars are held in by screws or small bolts i forget

Anything else really just pops out

I think to remove the liner, you want both doors open and seats reclined to the max then you can pretty much work it out from there. Some wires may be stuck to the liner with glue just peel them off and be careful with the headliner

Also if u have

Yeah, i know how to drop it but because i have a sedan, i wonder how to get the headliner out of the car without damaging it.

I once dropped it to change the sunroof but i didn't get it out of the car...was more difficultto change the sunroof with the headliner in the way but at the time, i could'nt figure how to get it out of the car without folding it and damaging it.

So if someone as some tip to get it out of the car easily, give them to me lol

You didn't crease it at all? Most cars you need to remove glass to get it out correctly.

I would think the front passenger door would be easiest with the seats and center console removed, it's the largest opening on a sedan.
