Did some searching around, sounds like there are 4 bolts and some very-sticky double-sided tape. After you've removed the bolts, I'd say heat the tape with a hair dryer (similar to de-badging) and carefully remove the wing. I've never attempted it myself though, so you may want to get a more experienced opinion. I know others on here have changed/removed their wings.

Just try not to monkey it up. Someone might want to buy it.

step 1.. tie a rope to the spoiler

step2... tie other end of rope to a tree

step 3... drive away real fast

personally, the SS S/C looks stupid without the spoiler, it flows so well with the body.

its is very clean looking, but theres something about this car, it needs the spoiler, but with other cars...i would usually drive them off a cliff before putting the wing on my car on another car...it almost does flow with our cars

if i didnt confuse you enough in that post

The RK Sport spoiler isn't that bad at all... I think that flows a lot better than the factory spoiler

Hopefully things work out... I was really hoping to find a painted wing for a decent price. I work at a dealership and it's still going to cost me $218 for the part new from GM, and that doesn't include paint/mounting. I'd prolly be well over $350-400 after all was said and done, and I'm not paying that just to have a wing...

I took off my wing this weekend! It is a pain in the A$$. GM put some super stickey adhesive on there. Heat gun or hair dryer, high strength fishing line or floss, a 7mm socket, and a punching bag (to pound on instead of the car) and it will come off. Some adhesive remover to clean uip the mess after too! GM also had some damn wierd holes to mount the thing. Now I have to get them filled in and repainted! It looks so much better without it though!

How much did you pay a shop to fill and paint the holes.....

I've got one shop saying 400 to weld a filler piece, sand it down, prime and paint
Another wants 270 to fill w/bondo prime and paint.

Do I need to weld for such a small job? Does ANYONE know which is the better option. Im guessing that its such a small job that the first body shop wants to inflate the price a bit.

after talking to the body guy at work he said the best way to fix it would be to weld it. If you fill it in you always run the risk of it popping out or leaking.
