hows everyone painting their brembos?

i searched and found one thread but it wasnt that great, are you guys taking them off or painting them on the car? a few people in the other thread said to use the brush on? it seems like that would come out streaky. Powder coating is probably the best bet but the more expensive option. and what did you do for the prep work, obv sand but details? let me know what you guys did and if you got pics put em up!! thanks!

i powdercoated them off the car. a body shop could od a nice paint job for you if you take them off and it will last a good while aswell. using that rattle can crap doesnt last.

I rattle canned a the 4 on my redline too while they were on the car. Rattle can will last if you do the prep work. They also make the G2 caliper paint which is brush on and will withstand 950 degrees. I think thats what i'm gunna go with when i paint mine. Just gotta find the brembo decals to put on the calipers when i'm done. THats just my .02

being a mechanic benifits so i took them of the car and completely tore them down so they could be safely sand blasted then powder coated, not recommended for the everage newb for you can bamage important components then oppps no brakes.
Powder coated front and rears purple last summer
Before becal

Powdercoat is best. But the G2 brush on will actually come out pretty smooth if you apply it correctly. Mine you cant tell its brushed on.

dont powder them, since there used there is a high risk of baking the brake fluid in the calipers and messing them up, just paint them and clear them like i did, and ide say go with a unique color, something that will set off the colors, maybe red or a bright color? imperial blue might look good too

A good powdercoater might have lights he can put the powdercoated items infront of for curing. This might help with the temps and some of the concern.

I had a spelling error in there and because if you powder coat you got the remove all the pistons and seals and the averge pwerson doesn know how to properly do so is all i meant by that. If you take them to get powder coated as an assembly you will **** your seals haha.
