I was a little jealous
of you 2.0 guys. You get those nice fuel rail covers that cover up some ugliness in your engine compartment. us 2.2 and 2.4 people don't get them. Well, I am not jealous anymore. I made my own.

Really nice job.
You might want to clean up the valve cover by polishing it, or, better yet paint it to match your cover and that would look awesome!
If you could mass produce the cover (with and without the SS badge) see if one of the vendors would market it and sell it for you -- or sell it on your own.

Who the actual manufacturer is -- no. It is sold through GM dealerships as a GM part under a GM part number. It is warranted by GM so that makes it GM enough for me.

Made in Korea/china/austria/germany/france/canada/usa etc.
Most manufacturer parts are not made in Canada or the USA. All over the car if you take it apart theres tags of where its made. The reason for this is cost, most manufacturers get their parts made in factories all over the world. An example of this is your front and rear bumper or bodyside moldings. If you look at it closely the color is different from the body because they are made and painted in a different factory than where the car's sheet metal was assembled and painted.

You're right! In each GM packaged part I've gotten I found a little tag that made me chuckle.
Made in Korea (escutcheon) and Made in Italy (wheel center cap) come to mind.
I think I am coming to the open house,
If I make another one, I will take some pics and try doing a "how to",
I don't want to start making parts, My projects are usually spur of the moment because I acquired an interesting part. The strut bar was from a Lincoln Continental I worked on and the fuel rail cover came from a Trailblazer SS emblem I needed to use somewhere.
