I need some help.

alright, I have the H1 HID kit from buyhids.com and I don't know what the red and black wire that don't have a plug on them hook up to. Do I splice them into the wires for the H1 beam? any help is greatly appreciated. if anyone has a diagram of how to hook it up, it would be much appreciated.

Could be wrong, but aren't you supposed to get the H11 kit for the fogs?

You should have an H11 kit for fogs, and a 9007 kit if it's for your headlights.

Also, since the PM system isn't working right, you could have just emailed support@buyhids.com, or at least made a thread IN OUR SECTION, so we can help you.

So what kit do you have?

I have an H1 8k kit for my projectors. I already have the H11 fog lights. I already annoyed the **** out of Mike Ulrey trying to figure out how to hook them up. I cat hook up all the plugs on the kit but there are still a red and a black wire that have a male quick connector on them. I don't know what they go to unless I plug the stock harness into the one on the projectors and then splice the red and black wire from the HIDs to the wires on the projectors. but I thought that they were supposed to be 100% plug and play with no splicing.

Holy crap. If Mike can't get you straightened out, I'm not even going to attempt it. I'm still learning from him.

haha. well, I didn't have the headlights in yet so I wasn't able to look at the wiring on them to see exactly what he was talking about and I have deleted the emails that he sent me. I know that he said something about the red and black wire hook to the projectors and something about a blue wire and a black wire. I just don't remember the stuff. lol.

Those wires power your ballast, they hook up to the wires that normally plug onto the back of the regular bulbs. They have the female connectors on them, so plug the red wire into the blue wire on the headlight with a female connector and do the same for the black one.

okay, I got it all figured out. now, I guess the projectors that I bought are gay and the bulb for the HID won't fit into the socket on the lights. cant I cut it open just a little bit and make the HID bulb fit in the socket?

Yeah those are gen two lights, which happen to use an H7 bulb for the low beam. An H1 bulb won't work...

yeah, I figured that out. I'm using the HID in the high beam though. I'm gonna get another set for low beam.

If you're using HIDs in the high beam I would recommend you wire up a relay of some sort to leave the low beams on when you switch to highs otherwise you'll be driving blind for a few seconds while the lights warm up.

How would I go about wiring up a relay? I was thinking about that before I installed them but I didn't want to drive without the HIDs because the H1 and H7 bulb alone are not very bright.

haha. thanks man. they just need to have a little bit longer wires on em. the place where I mounted the ballast made it a bitch to install with short wires.
I'll put some pics on here when it gets dark.
