also stupid question why do i have coil packs, i thought i should have had spark plugs and do they make a cover to go over top of them like the spark plug covers

take out the oil extender, and either paint the plastic or get an intake.

Watch out though, some paints eat away at the plastic, and you need to make sure some of the paints you use are temperature acceptable up to 1000F

if you use paint for plastic, you're fine. and why would you need paint with temps like that? the intake cover doesn't really get hot at all you can drive for hours, pop your hood, and put your hand on it no problem. none of the plastic gets hot at all. regular paint is fine.

Do they make a cover that goes into the valve cover there? I hate the big plastic piece on top of my motor, but i hate even more seeing the big open space! I want a smaller one, i see some cars have one that says 2.2 eco-tec on it.

My engine looks the same way, must be a 2007 thing because my friends 06 cobalt has the spark plug cover... which makes the engine look so much better than the big plastic cover. My advise would be to polish your value cover, and check out some engine dress up stuff online. I have seen a bunch but can't remember any websites at the moment. Good luck!

Take off all the plastic, replace the factory air box with a Injen intake, and then get a nice powder coated solid engine mount from Turbo Tech Racing.

X3 The eBay intake is about $85 shipped and works great. If you want to spend more $$$ IMO the K&M looks best.

Look at avenger09123"s sig and you will see the eBay intake on a 07 2.2

FYI

Coilovers are adjustable springs and shocks. I wish I had some.

What you have is Coil on Plug, so that there is less distance for the volts for the spark to travel is shorter.
