That would be your outside temperature sensor - the green tip is the actual sensor, it does NOT connect to anything else. Should be clipped under the drivers side headlight.

Something else is wrong with your light - try swapping the bulbs from side to side, if the passenger side now fails to light, you have a bad bulb. If it still doesn't work on the drivers side, it's the ballast or the wiring.

Good luck!

sweet thanks man. I figured out it was the temp sensor when I started to drive and noticed it wasn't getting the temp.

After I replaced my bulbs I forgot where this sensor went and my outside temp reading is "---". Where exactly do ya clip this to?

I still wasn't sure where it went. So it sat like that for a while until I had to take it in for some warranty work and they hooked it back up. I can take the light out again tomorrow and let you know where it goes if that works for you?

Good deal

I got mine wagg'n around below the light somewhere... I do wonder though,, If the green tip IS the sensor and does not need to be plugged into anything why am I getting a temp reading of ---. Maybe I broke mine =\

I was told it just hooks to the body. Headlight bracket would make sense. But I'm too drunk to go out into the cold to take a look. ******* alaska and getting cold all the time.
