Interior/Exterior Lighting or Neons
So I did some bouncing around and didn't notice any threads for this yet, course I could be mistaken. I overlook things occasionally, so if this is a re-post or double post, lemme know. I've got and have had some seriously great neons in the interior of my car and they're the smallest, brightest things around. They're called cold cathodes(prolly nothing new lol). But they work great and come in just about any color you want. Also, the guy that runs this site sells all kinds of UB kits, LED kits, and just about any lighting thing you can think of. His prices are unreal and the most affordable I've ever seen. One set of 2 12" cold cathodes is $7.99 and these things are at least 25% brighter than the average neon that Street Glow or Lite Glow carries. Anyway, I'd post up some pics of my neon set-up, but I fried my camera somehow while it was charging. I've got blue now, so don't let the green ones in my escort throw you off.

Oznium.com is fantastic. Good help on the forum over there, and Phil's customer service is second to none.
Highly recommended for ANY lighting project. All this **** is gone now, but here's my gallery from when I had my Cav riced out: http://www.oznium.com/gallery/chevro...lier/1199/2647

Yes, unfortunately it was impossible to drive my escort without a hat on cuz the neons glare off your eyeball lol. Then there was the ever famous windshield glare. I backed off to just one in my balt to avoid that problem. Have two more under the dash up front and a little 4in wedged up under the HVAC controls and it lights up the cupholder area quite nicely. Oddly enough, that area under the HVAC seems to have been built specifically for this cathode as it fits perfectly with no tape/ties to hold it in place and it's just deep enough to be completely hidden.
I had the cathodes before, hidden under my seats. But people kept kicking them and breaking them, so I switched them out for the LED strips, and they are even brighter. You can also cut them shorter if needed, as long as you take off 3 LEDs each time.

The 9.5" is way brighter than the 12" cathode.

What the pics of my escort didn't/couldn't show is that I also had a light bath that extended about 25 feet from the outside of my car. As much of a POS as that car was, I miss it. On a better note tho, now when ppl point at me and my car it's not because they're laughing lol
