Interior Idea...Thoughts??

Ok, so I have an 06 SS/SC with the Recaros. The car itself is Ultra Silver. I had the idea of taking the silver scheme on the inside(dash pieces/radio trim) and painting them the same color as the car, then popping off the top of the entire console and painting it silver as well. Just the top of the console though, the sides would still be black.

Opinions and thoughts, please.

I think it will look good man. I love cars with color matched interiors.

the silver metallic and black interior w/ brushed aluminum trim pretty much already matches the car. leave it alone

Man i am going to go ahead and warn you that every single car that i have rode in that had the upper dash painted, the glare from the reflection of the sun was so bad that it was almost unbearable.

If you do decide to do it just try not to make it TOO glossy

i say leave it alone. it looks fine the way it is and the gloss makes a glare while driving. alot of work.

just the TOP of the CONSOLE...so that the dash trim (where the radio/AC controls are) is visually continued on the console. The whole dash piece, including the silver trim pieces would have to be color match painted also, and then the console piece with the cupholders and shift boot, e-brake handle, and rear cupholders all painted. The sides of the console would remain black.

idk i think it might look decent if its painted perfect, and all the pieces are smoothed out... i think silver will look like **** with the texture.

oh see i thought you meant the upper dash as well. the console would look good as well IMO but at the same time that is the MOST used part of the interior and is gonna be real prone to scratches and scuff marks that will in time make it look worse than if you kept it stock black
