Interior plastics
Interior plastics
Okay. so what im trying to do is create plastic inserts for my car interior. Im planning in cutting a hole in my dash right above my radio and running a set of wires from the back so i can put in a usb port, an auxiliary port, and maybe another 12v outlet. i have all the materials and know how to properly mold the pieces, except for one. In the past, all of the things that i needed to mold were things that i was using once then melting back down. And i used recycled plastics for those projects. Now that im doing this, i want to use virgin plastics so they can hold up better.
Long story short...does anyone know of where i could purchase a bag of pellets that i could use for melting down?

Iirc the plastic above the radio is where the AC vents are at. Unless you mean below the radio, the gap where the air bag sensor light is, you would be much better off getting a piece made from fiberglass because it would be easier to shape, and be stronger aswell.
As far as plastic buying I wouldn't know good luck to ya.
