They're designed for 245/40/18 on the 05-07 balts. Thanks to my coilovers, I'll be able to compensate for the larger tire

very good to know! I always like to hear/read from people other than a website bout these things.

Hows the grip from a dig with a 245/40 tire? I'm getting my CA 1" traction bars installed Thursday to elimnate wheel hop, and to relieve the control arms a bit. Hoping the 245s will really help put the power to the ground.

well i have the eagle f1's pretty nice tires but im pushing a lot of power so i spin em reguardless of what im launching from. i have motor mount front and rear tranny mounts and control arm bushings but i can still manage to wheel hop a lil bit, but the larger sidewall on the 40's seems to help grab a litte harder.

Nice; what are you putting out currently?

I should be fine with a 2.9 from it seems. 250-260 hp shouldn't burnout too much...

How was the fitment of this hood? I've put aftermarket hoods on both of my camaro's and i know that the fiberglass hoods take a lil work to get a good fit and that no aftermarket hood is perfect.... So did you have any trouble out of this one?

love that hood...i wonder if having small slits in the front before the heat extracting part would be better for removing heat cus now you get better flow..youl have air flowing in onto blower then right back out....but that might caus lift in the hood .lol

The fitment took some adjusting. At first it was over to the side to much. Luckily my dad owns a bodyshop, so his guys knew what to do.

I'm prob gonna have to end up blocking it or plastering, then have them sand it to get rid of the waves. Fiberglass unfortunately is infamous for that; its really not bad IMO though.
