You cant really see here, but the cut-off fades from red to orange, to green, and then the white light.. All my friends tell me how ******* cool they look when they pass me, my lights change 4 different colors! theyre like "dood, your lights go from orange to green when i drive by" im like ... SWeeeeeet

Did u change the inside most LED's to red?

 

yeah i changed the inside ones closest to the grille to RED, i have a pack of 50 LED lights i got from radio shack, and they are a variety of colors, so i can make those led lights whatever colors I want. For all 6, not just the 2 i changed.

I only changed the inner 2 to red, because they came broke from shipping. So i wanted to see what red looked like. But i have blue to replace them.

I am going to change mine to orange. I dont like the blue. red I dont think will pass DOT. But I could do it and change it if forced too.

There is a difference in quality of lamps out there. my turn signal is paint silver and is not the reflector quality of yours. basically it sucks ass (mine) cause there is even a run in one.

yeah i really dont give a **** about dop. i wont have any problems with cops and my lights, for my own reasons. so dont even ask.. lol

but anyways. I like the blue, only cuz they project!! If im sneaking somwhere and i want my lights off, i turn on the running lights and its almost like fog lights the blues are so bright. Orange would look SICK, to match the orange turn signal. But i want something diff. than everyone else on the road. Im thinking i might go green, i was gonna go red and green for xmas, but im lazy. they are real easy to swap, so if you did have problems you could change them in minutes. I was also thinking of buying ones that change 2 diff, or even 3 diff. colors! But i dont want anything flashing on the front, i want straight light.

that sucks that your headlights are poor quality. I heard about this, that some people got jipped off on quality and stuff. Mine came amazing, with blue halo's. And pure chrome mirror turn signal spots. I was actually thinking of getting these red led turnsignal bulbs i saw at autozone.

I dont see how anything red is against dop, because how much red do you see on the road driving compared to other colors.. hmm prob. 98% red, cuz taillights, and quaterpanel markers are all red. So what would red turns hurt?

I have no clue where to get them, i never researched it yet. I heard a kid had the same problem, and he took a pic and sent it back to the place he got them for proof that it didnt work, and they sent him a replacement halo, but you have to take the clear sheild off, in order to replace it....

Maybe it's just me, but IMHO projector headlights on these cars look like ass. Not knocking your car at all, I just dont like the headlights.

 

they look a lot better in person cuz you dont have the glare of the shield. so its pitch black.. and its bad ******* nasty, matching the mirrors and grille.

Im going to vinyl the bowties black, im tinting 5% all around. And im getting black rims, and slamming it in the spring... so it will all come together then..

i think the stock headlights look like ass, with the gay little orange circle in the corner.. WTF is that?

 

The 2007's dont have that orange circle. 1gmfanatik pointed it out when i was following him one day. Once painted and the orange lens taken out, they look the best for this car.

 

UHHHHH im looking at my stock lamps right now, and they DEF have the orange circle in the corner for the turn bulb.

and how did you get that pointed out to you when you were following someone? arent they in the front? LOL

and wait... you have to take the orange lense out (there is none for the front view), and paint them, to look good?

first off painting is bad, it concentrates heat and absorbs heat which could cause warping over time, plus you painted them, so it better be a good job. second, its still the stock lights and you have to mod like crazy to get them to look good..

Sweet. I was supposed to get black projectors too but the *** sent me the wrong ones. Won't return my emails or anything. SO i put the chrome ones in. I think both black and chrome look decent on red cobalts.

I personally dont like that....I think black would have looked better.

 

You should try to tint your lenses a little bit. That would look freaking sweet on the chrome ones.

His definately did not have the orange circle in front of the bulb. He has 2007, i have 2006. I was following him and he noticed that about my car, we looked at his and his lights did not have them.

Second, just taking out the lense and putting in an amber bulb would be the same as having the lens in there.

Third, they look better painted then projector headlights for this car. IMO the projectors look like cheap wannabe BMW headlights.

 

Guess it's just your opinion and mine. But I'd rather see either stock headlights or the projectors. I'm not feelin' the Do it yourself paintings of the stock lights. But Im one to appriciate everyone's efforts in modding their car but I'm just not feeling the painted lights.

 

show me a cobalt with them, and then one without please that is stock. Cuz mine are ******* orange... its gay, the reflecting circle in the side of the headlight, where you can actually see the bulb, that turn signal on my lights, the entire housing is an orange circle, instead of chrome. so maybe they messed up at factory.. i dunno?

and yes taking the amber lense out and putting a bulb in is the same. i had no arguement against that.

ill put my car next to any BMW, and my lights will drown them out.. plus!!! I have an orange to green cut-off

I have thought of doing that and thought of doing that with my Halos but I sorry to say I wont be doing that now. I like black or chrome better as well.
