sounds like single beam would be HID,s for low beams only with highs being halogen, and dual beams would be HID's for both high and low beams.

It actually means that if you buy single beams you won't have a high beam just low.

Well to be honest with you. My HID in my headlights are single beams and I haven't had a need for highs yet. My low beam Hid are like 4x as much as my stock high beams as far as brightness.

I see you were referring to just the HID kit. I thought you were referring to the Headlamp units themselves. When I purchased mine on ebay I got the entire headlamp assys, already equipped with the bulbs, and they referred to single as being hid low beams only and dual being high and low hid, thats what I thought you were talking about.

Nah, It's not illegal here so I will continue doing it. There are a lot of people running hids in stock housings.

Well actually, majority of cars here are 4x4 trucks which my lights are pointed pretty low so my mainly hits the road and I get blinded 98% of the time by pick ups etc. I've only been bright lighted like 3 times so far and those were smaller cars.

TBH if I can find someone wanting to trade my painted stockers for gen 2 I would be all for that. And I would give a little cash as well.
