Canada L.E.D. License Plate Light

Does anyone have a L.E.D. license plate light on their balts?? Seen it on a Lexus and thought it would be a spectacular mod. Makes the plate shine so different to the bulb elumination. Very unique.

The LEDs really give the car a different look, as you can see there lol. Plus, cops will be fine with it as long as you don't do anything stupid in front of them. That pic is old plus my camera kinda sucks at night pics. This one was taken with my newer camera, shows everything better.

If you follow the rules of the road you don't have to worry about that then do you? Autox and the dragstrip is where you can go all out. Besides that it is easier to run you plate durning the day so this shouldn't even be an issue.

Okay that exactly what I am after looks good but how did you do it? I'm just asking so I can do the same. I haven't taken the bulb or socket out or even had a look at it to see what it entails. I know it is very basic but I'm looking at how you did it to save me some greif that is all.
Ya I'm a not a caring about my local cops

you can get them on superbrightleds.com, they're the small wedge base 5 led bulbs, I think thats what they're called
Just make sure you choose "cool white" i didnt notice and now I have a couple red ones sitting around. I love mine they really are "super bright" like the 6th post, lights up the ground all behind my car.

edit: copied right off the site, go to mini wedge base 12V bulbs, the click the first one and they're about 3/4 way down the page "WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb" just do a find in your browser for that.

This was really helpful everyone thankyou for your input. I have purchased 2 led's for the map lights 2 led's for the reverse lights and 2 led's for the licence plate had to buy an extra for the minimun billing. Went to superbrightled.com excellent site!!!

Thanks again
