Ok i just got a set of LED Tailamps from K2motors off of ebay and ive got a few ?'s for ya

1) Those that have LED tailamps in there cars did you have to put a resistor in to get the signals to flash normally?

1a) If you did, did you notice any odd smells and/or hot areas (after putting everything back in its place ie trunk carpet) from the resistors

2) Im wanting to do the "Skyline" mod on these, so wuts the easiest way to get the lens off? Ive read the how-to write up and dont really feel like drilling the lens off.

2a) If you say heat gun/hair dryer roughly how long did/do you heat it up?

2b) If you say bake it wut was your temp and how long.

I know that these might of been said in other posts, i swear ive tried searching for the answers, but i am not very good at doing searchs lmao So thanks in advance

yea you need resistors to make them blink normal. i just deal with it. the resistors can get pretty hot.

 

Yeah, I have the same lights, you need res. Mine got really hot and burned a tiny hole in my carpet. You might get a burning smell once in a while, just keep checking them.

Ok thanks everone. I put resistrs in the wiring and after that i thought i started to smell things. Just wanted to make sure.

No comments on taking them apart? Damn
