OK. These pics are posted in the gallery, and are from an auto show in 2005 if I am not mistaken. The claim that this is the new blue (Laser Blue I assume). This Cobalt looks to me like it is painted in the new "Laser Blue Metallic" paint. I have been told before that this is NOT Laser Blue, and is Arrival Blue with some sort of clearcoat!!!! The base color does not look like Arrival Blue to me though!

Is this or is this not Laser Blue Metallic????

If it is not, how do you know????

I really think it is. It looks like it does on other cars I've seen with the Laser Blue color. Plus if it was an 05 auto show, the color would have been in use on other production cars (Impala, Malibu, and Monte-Carlo).

I would really like someone to clear this up definitively once and for all with proof!!!

I need to choose this week what the hell color SS-SC I'm getting, cause I've been aganozing over it for the last 3 weeks!!!

You are the only one i've seen so far who likes it. i loved the arival blue on the cobalt. i forgot who, but someone on here has an arrival blue s/c with red brake calipers, one of the nicest cobalts i've seen. i am a red fan myself, but if its gotta be blue its gotta be arrival...

 

I like this color in the pics. I've seen it on 2 Malibu's and 3 Equinox's and I hated it in person cause it looked purple. It at least looks blue here in these photos. When it looks totally purple in person it is gross!!!! I love the Arrival Blue too. I can't get it anymore though, so I need to choose.

I have a red car now, and didn't want another, but Victory Red is nice. Seriously considering Yellow as well. Black is too hard to keep clean, I don't really like Sunburst, and I can't get Silver in Canada for some retarded reason!

If only Arrival Blue was still available!!! This would be much easier!

 

Where can you get that grille insert? Or is it just some concept part? IMO it looks better than the stock SS/SC grille.

No it's not available as far as I know. I think that it appeared only on the early pre-production models.

A shame, it's really nice. Much better than the stock one!

 

I can't wait to get my Laser Blue. I had Arrival Blue on my Cavalier, and would probably prefer that, but I like how the Laser Blue shifts. I was next to one at a red light and I thought it looked beautiful. And I was at one long red light. I've heard its most stunning at dark though, when the Blue really shows

 

Yeah, to each their own... i say just go Victory Red and end it... lol.

Hey mi6, I had the same problem with you bro, it was such a tough choice.. I was so angry when the sales man called me and said no more arrival blue, and ive seen the laser blue pics so i was like hmm.. anyways I ordered the victory red and its really stunning color, like red has always been the sports car color.

 

mines arrival blue and i love it...not to dark and not to light.

 

I have! I love it every time I see it on Impala's and Monte Carlo's

 

SS-=MKR=-SS, i agree with you man... victory red is awesome, but if i had to get blue i'd have wanted arrival before they stopped making it. it looked like THE perfect blue for a car. i hate the laser myself, but people like it or they wouldn't make it

I've got someone on the inside (well, I just know someone who works for GM) who is gonna find me the build date once I give him my order number. So then I'll know at least how long a wait I still have.. Oh well, I guess it'll all be worth it in the end, right?
