the recaros are packaged with the limited slip diff. also......... you cant beat that deal... it will cost at least 3 times that to do it later.

no suspension upgrade........... but how can you beat that price for the upgrade.. those seats cost 1500usd each aftermarket. Lsd would be 1500 plus install. And yes they will hold up much better than the ss seats. There is a reason many top of the line cars use recaro seats.

11 months and 17k miles on my non-recaro's, and they are more worn than my former '98 GTP's seats with 105k miles. Similar comparison with all the paint chips up front, too (along with some peeling on the door edges).

Leather streches and contracts. It will actually return to almost factory tension if you do not sit in it for a long period of time.

I sold my standard SS seats after 1 month and got Recaro's from a 05 Ion . The standard seat looked aweful after 1 month . The Recaro's after 8 months look brand new still and they had some use before I got them .

i think the recardos are ugly! looks like your sitting in/on a box. the reason i didnt get lsd is b/c of them. my leather, w/ blk inserts have a bit of wrinkling but it seems to be fine as long as you keep the leather protectant on them! i wipe them down every 10 days minium. you can tell when they need it. you loose that slippery feeling when your getting in and out.lol.

The general consensus is that both these issues were fixed for the 2006's, no?

First of all my fellow canuck it's "Recaro's", not "recardos" or "retardos". Not ONE person who's sat in my seats or seen them had anything bad to say about them. In fact, almost everyone in the OCC who doesn't have these seats wants them. So to answer the original thread, you definitely want to consider the Recaro package if you're planning on buying one of these beasts!!

The leather seats wear like all leather seats do not more not less... it is what happens when you buy leather... does your shirt wrinkle when you sit down ??? Yes.... so why would leather seats be any different. The recaros are pretty sweet looking and if you have the money and want a higher payment go for it....

Yup. Wouldn't order the car without them. Plus, you need the LSD on a FWD car with this much power. It is a "must have"!

If you can only afford one option, get G85.

No, like you said, everyone's entiteled to their opinion. But, as you can see, not too many who support your opinion.

however, the insert part of the seats (the colored part) isn't even leather. it's a form of vinyl, that's why it rumples so badly and never reutns to it's original shape. vinyl stretches but does not return to its previous form. the outer black parts are leather and they appear to wear just as normally as any other leather seats (minus the high end cars). because of that, though, i really wish i had gotten the recaro's, and i'm still thinkin about buying them. however no one is selling them out of their ss's and the only one's i've seen are from redlines, so they're blue, and i have a red car.

I love the leather seats. To me they look much better than the Recaros. But like any leather they strech.

What makes the Recaro's ugly? I think the colored inserts are way too much, the Recaro's give a much cleaner looking interior. The mesh matches the rest of the interior's silver...
