The LED's are obviously pulling some sort of current. It doesn't take nearly as much power to run the LED's as it does the stock 194 incandescent bulb, so there's prolly always been some power running to them, just never enough to show on the stockers. Unfortunately, the only thing to do to fix this would be take the LED's out and put the stocks back in. I don't think you run any risk of killing your battery as those things use hardly any power at all so you'd be ok to leave them in too.

Mine have done that since I switched bulbs. That was early last year, no problems at all. You will never kill a battery because of leaving LEDs on fully, much less in this state.

same here its always been doing it, even when you had the incandescent bulb there. So if it was going to kill your battery it would have by now. I like it, i think it looks nice in pitch darkness. a neat accent. I think maybe it has to do with the keep alive now that I see it's not just me.

I had the exact same issue happen to me. I put the led's in and they still glow but it's killer shines on my disco ball during night rides lol . Our batteries have that load sensing on them if anything is left on then it will shut if off anyways true or not shouldn't harm it any. I actually thought they went out after a certain time frame. Still working on that theory. I always forget to check in the morning to see if they are still on.

Another reason why this site is Awsome

My dad's HHR has an LED Light on the headliner that shines down on the HU and HVAC controls. It's actually rather cool. Stays on all the time...had it 3 years...no issues.

I loved that when i was in my friends HHR I was thinking of trying to do it my self in my cobalt one day. Get that exact part its mounted in, if I remember correctly its in a little plastic insert.

I had that problem when I replaced my dome light with led. I just took it out tho, but now that I know others have that same issue I might throw it back in

Since it takes more power to light the incandescent bulb it doesn't light, but LED use far less power so they light up a little. either way that current is flowing.

If you're looking for LEDs I'd look at superbrightleds.com. I got mine off ebay before I knew about that site, or even css.net for that matter.

All leds do this. There is no need to worry. By time those leds will run out your battery, we will be flying in cars

The ones I used are similar to these: http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

I get all my LED bulbs from V-LEDs. They have a huge selection and their bulbs are excellent quality and function just like they're described.

To get the LED to turn off then the motor is off, you need to have a 1 ohm resistor on pos side of the contact on the LED bulb, this will stop the current running into the LED.

And yes the LED isn't really going to effect the battery, but its still putting a load on it. less than 1 volt.
