so im thinking about doing some paint work under the hood this weekend, but i dont know exactly what I want to do...

I have a black SS/SC and im thinking about painting the accents (injector cover, rail cover, things like that) gun metal, and doing everything else in polish or brushed aluminum...i just want to see some pictures to get an idea of what i want to do...

and any under hood painting tips you guys have would be great

just to catch that nasty oily crap before it gets in your intake....but, my catch can is aloooot smaller, so im not sure thats exactly what it is!

I think TTR was running a sale when I bought it, like $160 or so. I think they are $180 normally.

I need to get a newer picture tho. it has since been stripped of the coating and polished/cleared. looks a LOT better

 

hmm...i just didnt wanna polish everything, i want a dark look to the car and i think a huge shiny jewl under the hood might throw it off

 

how do you guys get the blower sooo shiny??? i'm really jealous....

 

you can get it in just about any color you want. black, red, yellow, etc

 

im thinking about the gun metal, kind of like the tvs someone has on here...

yup yup it is a catch can. the high-compression pistons cause the oil to push throuhg the damn breather into the intake.

 

ah, i see....i was like WTF thats a huge catch can!! maybe cuz urs actually does something!

and i know this isnt exactly the tech section, but would i just put a jack under the motor while the stock mount is off? or will it be supported by the tranny mounts enough to not have to do that?
