Talking lights shift knobs & tach

Hey,

I did not know where to post this…..but I got this crazy idea!!!

I want to hook up a light up shift knob to the tach….you so the shift knob would light up when it hits a curtain rpm…..but one thing…the installation work is complicated. This is what I got to work with…..factory tach….and a led shift knob….now how to hook up what where…….now mod fans tear it up….so I can get started….thanx

That's a pretty sick idea, however, I don't know if you'd notice it since your hand would be on the shifter and you'd be looking at the road.

You mean you don't stare at your shifter normally? It does sound cool, but memphis has a point

I think it'd be an awsome idea, i guess if you were running at night, or if you made the light bright enough to see during the day. I just dispise those 3" tachs with the enormous light...of course unless its a true race/drag car.

What about those old honda civic hatchbacks that have the spinning chrome hubcaps? I belive they are true bred race cars. Only fine craftsmanship goes into those babies. I belive they are hand built too.

WWW.RAPTORPERFORMANCE.COM makes a self rpm gauged LED shift light (if that makes sense) check it out on their website. All you would have to do then is hook the power from the knob to power for the shift light so it runs off the same current, and then you'll also have a shift light for you to see. I mean it sounds like it should work.
