Looking to trade my LS for SS/SC

Ok well I called the dealership where I got my 05 LS and they said since I just smart buyed the LS in June that if i wanted to get a SS/SC my payments would jump from $240 to $550-$600! I was like how can that be if my Ls was 20k and the ss is 23k...And he threw some Bs at me saying cus if you over 20k the payments increase alot. I guess I should try to sell it myself. The only thing left I can think is this dealership isent exactly 100% chevy....There not affilated with the normal chevy Places that are just chevy. I went to a freinds house yesterday about 45 min away and saw two 06 SS/SC's at the kingston Dealers..Im gunna call and see what I can do

Consdering they have 4k rebates on the cobalts now, your car has lost signifigant value.

About 3 years back I was looking at used S10s ZR5 in the 15k range. I found out I could get a new 03 Xtreme V6 Ext cab S10 for 16k.

Sorry :-\ but your going to be putting a lot of negative equity into your new loan for an SS/SC.

I'd do it too. but my trade in value on my ls is like 12 grand now and I cant take that kind of hit. When I bought it I just thought it was a sporty little car and would be great for a daily driver but then I kind of fell in love with the whole cobalt community and really want the SS. I'm stuck now. Now the question is...."to heavily mod? or to wait?" I think I'm going to mod it and then I will have about what the SS offers at about 6 grand more.. What a deal.
