Lower Center Console Interior Mounting

Hey Gang,

I'm looking to mount a sub control unit onto the side of the lower center console in the area depicted below:



Is it safe to drill two screws into the plastic there? Will use a little screws as possible. Car is a 2.2 auto if that's any matter. (Not my car in pic)

just pop the panel off. do the work and put it back.

Or pop the cupholder out and look behind there.

yeah just pop out the cup holder, you can do it with your bare hands. And there is nothing there, that is where i mounted my ipod interface. Ill grab a couple pics.

As you can see there is about an inch of space behind there:



And this is where i put my bass knob, i think it is a pretty cool spot:

Yeah i thought someone would bring that up lol. Mine is just underneath the console and out of sight, as i used it to power my xm radio. You could mount the knob beside the 12V outlet.

Yeah, it is still a good place though. I was thinking of throwing some switches there when I get something worth switching.
