LS Bumpers to SS Bumpers

So i've been wanting to do this switch for awhile. I have a base 2 Door cobalt. Want to do the Swap to SS Bumpers. When ordering them do I need just the bumper cover? Or will I need to order all the components such as the absorber? I'm guessing just the bumper cover.....but I'm not 100% sure, so i pulled up a search and nothing. So I ask here. Thanks for the help!

To install the SS/NA fascia you will need the Fascia (12336074), R+L brackets (15248110/15248111), 2 nutplates (11513599), 10 screws (11609406), and the lower grille (15773841). Additionally you will need to decide what to do with the fog light holes

Look up the post about fascia compatability

I got all the parts except the Fascia from CED. The fascia (bumper) is expensive to ship because of its' size (very little weight) so you will need to get it at a local dealer -- look for a dealer that will sell it to you for "Trade" or less.

If you want the SS/SC lower lip you'll have to get the SS/SC fascia. The SS/NA fascia does not have the slots for the SS/SC lower lip.

Well are you wanting SS/SC or SS bumpers...if you are wanting the lip from the SS/SC your gonna have to buy the whole bumper b/c the SS bumper isnt compatible with the lip and yes fascia is the front bumper just a fancy word

Apples and oranges.... Fascia describes the front cover for the car. It is not just a bumper....

That's because you used "bumper" to search. While the search function is very helpful, many times the thread name (title) doesn't help find information you read before because the information and title are not the same.

Don't forget to go to the "forum jump" button at the top left and click on the area you're interested in -- like appearance or 2.2L -- to be more specific.

Hope that helps some.....

well ORT i actually did this to my 2.2 i bought the ss/sc bumper and the side skirts. it came out very bad ass. well if you want to buy the entire ss/sc bumper you have to buy the bumper and the lip to goes to it. and for the back its just one piece. the lip is on it already. side skirts are easy. you dont need anything else besides screws and clips. the grill is pretty easy. take off your old grill to put it on the ss/sc bumper. real easy. and there you go.........
