making flush trunk keyhole

making flush trunk keyhole

does and one know the best way to shave the key hole flush on the trunk it is somthing i want to do but i dont know the best way and easeist way to do it......

Wouldn't be wise, if the electronic trunk release malfunctions, there won't be any way to get your trunk open. I think so anyway, I know on my base the seats can only be folded down from the trunk, no release inside the cabin, so if the button fails you can't get in. Dunno if the SS's are different

If you really do want to do it, all you gotta do is remove the lock and weld the hole shut, fill and paint.

I have a base coupe, and didnt think there was a trunk release in the cab, but upon further inspection, I found it.
Find the air vent to the left of the steering wheel. Now follow that down. On the underside of the dash, there is a little pull out compartment there, open that up and there should be a button in there.
Push the button and there is your trunk release.

Ya that's the electronic release, but there is no manual release inside the cabin if that fails. And there is no way to fold down the rear seats except from the trunk, so if your button fails and you have no lock to get in from the outside, there's no getting in your trunk.

well im glad somebody said it. cuz theres been so many times i wanted to fold my back seats down and i always look for somthing even tho i never found it. im glad that you cleared that up that the trunk is the only way
