Matching Orange high temp paint?

I am not having any luck finding orange high temp paint to do my calipers. I found a close one “Chrysler orange #226” made by Plasty-Kote, but I don’t like it. Anyone find any sunburst orange?

Thanks for the help

Go to g2usa.com. They have Orange caliper paint that looks pretty close to GM orange(at least on my computer).

Brake caliper paint really isn't high heat paint, it has ceramic in the paint to harden better and to resist corrosion from the brake dust.

Make a couple coats and you CAN use GM color match spray paint. I did it on my Cavi, it lasted great for over 3 years till I traded it in, I used it on my Balt and its been on it since Sept 1st with no problems.

The Duplicolor kit is great if you want a generic color, but if you want it to match then the color match GM spray paint is the only game in town!

Just lemme know if you need pics of when I first did them and now and I'll post em up for you later.

Duplicolor metal cast is a good hi temp paint that will match up decently. It's supposed to be an anodizer but if you do several coats it starts to match up to SBO pretty well. I've used it an am happy but now that my calipers are orange they get dirty really easy. lol

Only if you want to. But make sure you clean the calipers with Brake Clean first and let them air dry so the paint can stick.

to be safe u can buy the hi-temp paint in black or something.
paint yur calipers, and then take GM orange spray paint, and spray over it.
and then after u get the orange down, there is hi-temp engine enamal/header clear coat.
sray that over it, and yur good to go!!! did that with mine on my cavalier, and looks great!

It is not a bad idea to use clear on the calipers after they're painted... it helps protect them more as well as makes the paint glossy (If using a gloss clear).
