mercedes HIDs

my girlfriends parents have a mercedes suv, and i love the HIDs that are on it.. theyre like white but have a tealish green kinda tint to them what temp is that?? just plain 6k?

It's probably around 4-5,500K

And also you have to think about the projectors they have. That makes a appearence difference in the HID's too.

my dads lights in his merc. are super white...im guessing 4300k, but theres no "tealish green" in them at all. Theyre by far the brightest headlights ive ever seen tho...lol

I noticed Lexus started using a greenish tint on the lens itself. It's probably a 6000K-6200K color temperature if there isn't any tint on the Mercedes lens. Anything higher and the color would fall out of the SAE J578 "white" quadrant.

They all have to fall within the SAE J578 quadrant for "white". They don't go by color temperature within the industry because it is difficult to quantify. Instead they rely on the tri-stimulus or other method of measuring color. Color temp is just easier to use as a marketing tool.

i saw a F150 with the tealished white lights today, ... is that like the white HIDs? they just haev that tint to them or are the white HIDS totally white
