Thanks to one of Phoenix's sponsors and myself, we have yet another custom, one of a kind piece in my car.
Custom built Harness bar and 4 point Impact! Racing harnesses.
The bar is all 1-1/2" Chrome Moly tubing, bent and tig welded to fit. We made sliders and spacers to bolt in at the factory bolt locations, and I only have Grade 5 bolts in for now, I want to get grade 8. Also, made L-brackets out of 1/4 steel to mount the lap belts under the seat mounting bolts.
The factory seat-belts have been completely eliminated from the car. You have to use either the 2 or 4 points of the harnesses to stay in. Yea, its rough and different, but its my car, and I love it.
I Etch Primered it last night, Painted it, and clearcoated it last night as well, and installed it today.

Took 9 hours start to finish to do everything. I love it.

Thanks for all the props guys!
haha it wont pass inspection at a track if he even tracks it and it looks weird without headrests and dont think its too safe without them either btw powell racing makes a harness bar for cobalts now just an fyi and im guessing the harnesess are impact?
why wont it pass track or SCCA inspection, it bolts in just like a powell bar.
powell bar wont pass inspection EITHER guys, my understanding is the seat AND harness have to meet the SFI specification. So without a seat (which wont pass on the stock adjuster) it's just a cool looking add on.
If it does, it'd be because it's made of chromoly, tigged and bolted into reinforced plates.

yup this is true you can run a harness bar and harness on stock seats but you need the headrest to run the harnesses on the inside to keep them from moving around on you i had dot sfi aproved scrothes in my old cavalier with fake recaros lol

Yes, its has new impact 44 point latch and link harnesses. Always been on good terms with Impact since my days in NASCAR, always worn there gear, so it was only fitting to use their belts. And Yes, I know Powell makes a bolt in bar. But why buy what everyone else can buy when I have the assistance right here to build a one of a kind piece? Built not bought is where its at in my book.
Yea, every time I post pics I get the headrest thing. It passed inspection without them. I chose to remove them. They didn't do crap in my last accident, and I like my custom sport buckets. Its my car, I like it, that's what matters, haha. I expect most people to hate my car from teh start just because "its not an SS" lol.
And yes. The car, now that Im done redoing the suspension is headed for all the Pittsburgh Area autoX events this year, as well as some track days at Beaverun hopefully.
I like it, its different and unique. I have alot of custom built parts on the car: Front grills, skidplates, harness bar, short throw shifter. its fun making parts rather than buying them.
EDIT: The harnesses cant move left or right. They are in retaining rings on the bar, I just didnt snap any photos of them.

LOL. Too low for rally >.>
I got tired of hearing my front lip slap the ground going in and out of parking lots. So I made some 0.040 Stainless Steel skidplates for the nose of my car.

Yea. Everything in my life is orange and black, and I got the nickname Foximus years ago when i was doing NASCAR pit crew work. With my company being called Foximus Motorsports, we thought it fitting to put the Fox logo in the seats.
