Well, the guy is a good friend of mine. He shaved the doors and installed an alarm/door popper kit on my j-body for $1500 back a few years ago. His dad even leaded it when they were welding the plates in. Old school **** you don't see anymore. Too bad I wrecked it the day I picked it up...

It cost me $0; but thats because my dad owns a body shop. There are a couple routes you can go...

Get the rat rod black - enamel based paint (used on oil rigs), light prep, your typical hot rod flat black. That can be done for $500.00

What I did - Full body prep, Primer, Paint w/ additive to make it flat, and clear. Goes for $2000.00 - $5000.00. May even cost you more, but thats what my dad's shop charges.

Yeah, so far I am. It's expensive to get a paint job done, thats why.

As for the pix in my gallery, those are from when I first got it. Wasn't murdered yet...

Love the flat black. Now ditch that silver billet grill and get the billet black grill from Carriage Works and it'll be complete.

Meh... Why spend another 300 bucks... I'll end up painting it if it begins to bug me.

As for now, the billet grill goes very well with the polished lip on the rims.

Wow, very hot rod! Although that little tiny tail is... weird... to each their own!
