My 1st ever headlight build

Today I decided to start on my own build, with a little twist, kinda like a demon eye mod but not. You'll see .

Tell me what ya think, i'll be keeping this thread updated with pics as the lights come along and eventually get put on the car. I've never taken apart a pair of headlights before so this is a first for me. Im just taking my good old time with things.

Headlights taken apart

Housings wetsanded

Housings Primered

Bulb Covers (Or whatever there called) Removed and Sanded

Bulb Covers Painted

Hopefully the bulb covers will hold up. The paint I used for them says its good up to 500 degrees F. We'll see once there done.

I thought of that too. We'll see, hopefully not but if so oh well i'll either tear them apart to fix it or just start another set I have two more sets laying here.

Thanks man. The orange bulb covers look sick. I hope they work out and not reflect orange light but I dont think they will since the bulb goes inside the cups and the light is reflected back to the lens.

Update.

Just an update. Got these finished yesturday and installed this evening after work. Ran the garden hose over them for a good while to make sure they dont leak, and they dont so heres the pics.

Turned out very well, the way they look in the pics with a slight bit of orange reflection I was worried they would reflect orange light but they dont, only with the flash going off on the camera do they reflect orange. Anyways there unique and I spent alot of time on them to make sure the quality was perfect so im proud. Any and all opinions are welcome, ima big boy.

if there's anything you should be able to do on a cobalt easily it's take the headlights apart. all you need to do is know ur numbers to know what to set the oven to and to know how long to put them in there lol. it's pie.

Wasnt hard at all. I actually didnt take the lenses off completelly. Just popped the two ball and socket clips off the one side of the lense allowed enough room to reach behind it with a torks bit to remove the bulb cover.

Looks good but why not install projectors and run HIDs?
