My balt seems brighter....PICS!!!
My balt seems brighter....PICS!!!
Installed my hids yesterday. 6000k on gen 2 projectors and 10,000k on fogs. This was probably one of the easiest installs ive done. like the look of it.....
stock on right and hids on left...

both sets on, sexy look, shouldve done this awhile ago

dont know if this makes a difference but heres a color comparison. the top one is the 6000k and the one on my hand is the 10,000k. maybe itll help others trying to make a decision on what color to get.....

ha ha my toes.....
i also need help in adjusting these gen 2. anyone know of a link here or can help me. seems to me that the right is lower than the left. how should they be..

thanks for looking...

havent been able to get the exhaust on yet. the day the hids went on was probably hte best day in a while. damn been raining 22 outta 24 days. sucks and then on the days it dont rain i end up working a douuble at work. but thanks for the compliments.
i am thinking of supercharging it tho. dont remember if glenn has an auto 2.4 sc? gotta ask him. dont know if it can be done in an auto 2.4.
btw anyone know how to adjust these gen 2's???

Your ALWAYS wearing slippers in your pics
Anyway top one is 6k? Really? WOW that's a huge diff from 10k. I could swear the top is stock light LOL As far as aiming them the up/down, that part is easy. The left right is a pain in the ass. Theres a screw you can see while the lights are in on top that's for up/down. For left/right you have to take the headlight out to adjust... like I said pain in the royal ****
You can find instructions in the car manual on how to aim them. Aiming projectors are the same as regular headlights. Cept projectors have better cut-off lines I think. There's also a how to on the site, or you can google it and it comes up with this topic on i think a mazda forum which has the best how-to I've seen. I've used that how-to.
If you want it even more OMGWTFPWNAWESOME... add some HID to the high beams too and then wire up a relay to have the high beams trigger the low beams (Requires the battery fed relay harness for the lows).
Quad beam HID at night is pure and utter orgasm on the backroads.

Thanks for the info
you mean both heAdlights have to be aimed to the passenger? Would you know how tall the cutoff should be? Like from the ground up
Thanks
under the headligts and on the brackets. Well. Underneath
Yup, mounted both ballasts under the bracket. Very easy
Thanks and I always sandals when I'm home. I'll try to adjust them today
I don't think imma do that. Awesome idea tho for back roads
x2, wouldn't be safe here in brooklyn
thanks
8000k and 10000k ain't gonna be that different. Gonna look almost the same. That why i went with 6000k and 10,000k. Hardly notice but you can still tell.

Nice looking cobalt. I like the front grills painted black. I didnt think it would catch on that fast since i first did it last year. You did a great job on it. I would just paint the emblem black also.
