My cowl hood finished
as said before, good work and im jealous that i can tdo that kind of work. well i guess i could but it prob. wouldnt look like that.
i wouldve liked to see the cowl skinnier, more like a traditional cowl hood, but agian i commened you for your great craftsmenship.

I was also aware that the cowl was going to look really wide... considering it's pretty much the full width of the car. that's why I wasnted to idea for stripes or somethign to break up the center section of the hood. if anyone wants to do some photoshop work or post pictures of what they think would look good by all means do it. there should be enough pictures here to drazw on.
Someone else already asked... I don't think you'd like the price either. let's just say not including the actual labor and material to make the hood body and paint would put you out $700-$1000 I'd say if my guy only finished and primered it for you it would be closer to $700
underside looks just like the already existing skeleton only it has spacers to brace the sheetmetal. but for obvious reasons there is no heatsheild material.
I have some plans for the underside of the hood but I'm not sure if I iwant to share those yet.

thats not bad for finished product thats hand made and only one other person has
how does the price look now? I said this wasn't a cheap project.

no that's a thousand just from the body and paint shop. you would be looking at another $600-$800 plus the cost of a hood... then depending on if you wanted to change something you would be looking at more.

looks very good, unique, outstanding, i jus want you to know that if you go wingless and black out them tails a lil bit, that thing will have an insane lookin stance, a cowl hood on ANY performance car gives it stance, but that wing, well, i never thought i would take mine off but holy **** when i did, and looked at the car from an angle, wow, what a badass difference. and you should definitely look into havin more of those made so you can get some $$$$$$$$$$$$$
$2000 for a one of a kind hood is not too bad, and thats the better way to do it.
i had a 92 camaro. i bought a fiberglass cowl from jegs, cut a hole in my hood, and riveted on. turned out nice, but was NOT a full hood cowl

but yeah right now I have some other priorities. I don't think my total price was too bad for the hood either. along with my wheels, the Thermal R&D exhaust, and a few other homemade things I think I have a pretty unique car.
so I'm still trying to decide on what or if I should put some writting on my cowl sides.
I was thinking about moving the "supercharged" badge up there from the door but I don't really know if I want to do that. does anyone else have any ideas? I know theres' like "Powered by Ecotec" and stuff like that.
