My Cowl hood teaser pic
Ok so I got tired of waiting for the companies to make a cowl induction hood. long story short thanks to copson20 I picked up a new hood and started the fab work while I was home on leave. it still needs to be painted and welded but it's an all steel cowl hood and here is the onnly picture you're going to get.
when it's finished I will post more pictures and if any vendors think they want to add one of these to their selection mine may be for sale to use as a mold but it aint cheap.

I think it really turned out to be only about 2.75 - 3"
right now it's only going to function to let out heat. I didn't have enough time at home to start think about putting a new airbox in there. I'm thinking that it would be a lot of work for not much more of a performance increase, the way our intakes sit not they get all the air they need and it's pretty cool down there.
Yeah I picked up that hood for $100 it was a great deal but the hood is going to be pretty expensive in the long run.

oh I will I've always wanted to drive it on the smooth roads of the autobahn. I don't like going much fast than 145mph om american roads. then again if I want to go fast I just borrow one of my buddies M3's
yeah I didn't figure everone would like the hood. but the ones that won't probally aren't into nostalgia and classic cars.
