Thumbs up My New Retrofits!

All credit goes to Jim (Blown06ss) for making these awesome retrofits. Here's some pics he sent me of the finished product. All I have to do is wait for them to be shipped out and I'll post some more pics of them installed on the car.

This is the setup I have:
OEM housings painted flat black
Flat black painted sidemarkers
FX-R projectors
Gatling gun shrouds
White CCFL rings
DDM Tuning 5000k slim ballast HID kit

These are the Gatling gun shrouds since they're kind of hard to see in the final product pictures.

WORK IN PROGRESS:

FINAL PRODUCT:

This man does some quality work. If you ever need some retrofits, please let him make yours.

They look good.
Can't wait to see them installed.
I'd like a set of them also.

I'm pretty sure it is. I haven't received the kit yet. It just shipped out yesterday.

Looks plug and play from their website picture.

If you do, please let Blown06ss make yours. He's a good and reputable guy. He keeps you updated on the progress and even shows pictures along the way.

Looks good but be aware that aftermarket bulbs can burn the bowls of the reflectors...when money permits invest in some OEM bulbs.

The E55 retros go for $450 shipped and that includes any paintwork, tinting of sidemarkers, plug and play wiring harness, paypal fees and shipping. The FXR go for $550 with everything listed with the other set. The difference between the two is the E55's have a frensled lense while the FXR's have a crystal clear lense, this gives more distance and a really clean cutoff line. The E55's are an open bowled projector while the FXR is a sealed type, this keeps any light from "escaping" and reflecting off the inside of the headlight. I have many pics in my gallery if you want to take a look and get back to me.
He usually finds a set of headlights for you.

Have you had any problems with burning the bowls in your projectors? I know you have a DDM kit as well.

spend some time on hidplanet. it's been proven that kit bulbs run hotter than OEM hid bulbs. it's less of an issue with the fx-r because they have a higher quality coating than most OEM projectors but it's still a risk that I wouldn't take. jmho...take it or leave it. nonetheless the lights look great.

I'm not doubting you, I've just never heard of it before. I'm sure if eBay projectors can hold up aftermarket HID kits, then I'm sure real projectors can also.

I had him make a set of E55 retros for me, and the HID kit from DDM was a direct plug and play. He does phenomenal work and even take care of all the wiring so you don't have to. Definitely an A+ guy to deal with.

Pics of the halos. They're mounted on Blown06ss' car. He's shipping them out today. I can't wait to see the finished results in person.
