Question Need a Few Opinions!

When I show the car the hood is open & I can't stand the gap behind the headlights where the mounting brackets are. I decided to go with a satin black , I might have the silver & black checker like the sides of my car who knows . I still need to drill the hole's where the stock brackets are to secure it, put back in the molding pins, but you get the idea!
When these are done I will start a new thread to show the install & finished product, if the interest is there we can get these mass produced, they will fit any cobalt & I believe any cobalt with aftermarket lights also due to the body line of the hood stays the same!
The 1st thing I have to do is take them out for a ride at 80 or so & make sure they dont rub the hood or anything, which I will be doing Sat morning for a show.

Updated Pictures
I sanded them & Painted it with black primer & I think they might look good in Satin Black. It almost makes it look like they came with the car! Now I can't decide black or yellow!

Good idea but I think it would look better in a black plastic like the piece next to it

That sharp point is the corner of the headlight bracket, I have enough room to round the corners if I decide to keep them!

I was thinking about putting dimpled leather on there then painting it.. it would have almost the same texture as the stock plastics! Plus I don't know how to do it in plastic... wish I did because I have the piece to be molded!
