need headlight help please!

So after a long day today of trying to install my new gen 1 projectors and an h1 HID kit, ive failed miserably. i had them wired up and everything worked except the HID which was in the low beam place. I figured the HID was bad so i put the regular bulb that the projectors came with in and those didnt work either. So i was very frustrated and put my stock headlights back in, well i turn them on and the driver side (the only side I was working on today) low beam wont go on but every other lights is fine including the driver side high beam. I have no idea what I did but I do remember not plugging in a lime green harness because i couldnt find what to plug it into. also because of this me DIC wont read outside temperature. help me please. thanks in advance

bump

how many wires you cut? unless you have led's on your headlights you shouldnt have had to cut anything.. red and black wires that would normally go onto the stock bulb in the projector connect to the ballast of the hid.

if you have a light tester, i would remove the headlight and and find out if you getting current thru the wires, it shouldnt be a fuse cause both of them would be doing it. if you're getting power from the side thats attached to the car then plug in the headlight and test the wires after where it clips together.

make sure you have the ballast plugged in the right we, the big plug only works one way.

Low beam and high beams have separate fuses. Left and right low beam share 1 fuse, if your passenger side is working its probably not the fuse, but check it anyway

thanks guys. ill check the fuse tomorrow and also the wire. but if the wire is busted and wont carry a current then do i have to take it to the dealer to get it fixed?

edit: would a volt meter work to test the wire?

You turn your headlight on, then use voltmeter on the wire. If there is no voltage, then the wire is bad. If you dont know electrical wiring then you might have to take it to a shop, but not the dealer

It plugs into the bottom of the driver side head light bracket. The closest side to the intercooler...you'll see the little sensor in there for the outside temp.

Lookin at the schematics for 05-07 it shows that each high and low beam for each light is fused. So there are 4 fuses. Left high beam, Left low beam, Right high beam, Right low beam...all 10A fuses in the under hood fuse block

what year is your car?

yea it could be a simple blown fuse. The there is a low beam relay that sends power to the low beams. The only thing between that relay and the bulb is the fuse. So either one, you have a blown fuse. Two, your bulb is blown. Or three, you have a bad connection there. In the schematic is shoes that coming off the fuse is a tan/white wire for the low beam on the right side. Then the connector and the wiring coming out of that connector is orange. You can do what the above people said and test for voltage along those wires.
