Okay so i was in a minor accident this weekend where i rear ended the person in fromt of me at about 15mph, i am now in the process of gettin the front end repaired, i need a new bumper, headlights, and hood for my 2006 ls coupe. i am planning on replacing the damaged hood with the oem one and had a question about what to do about the bumper and headlights. Would it be cheaper to buy aftermarket headlights such as the hids from ebay instead of new oems from gm? And i would love to upgrade my ls bumper to the SS/NA bumper, how much more would i cost to do that? i have looked all over the internet and havent found anything, and i have searched the site didn't find anything. thank you for your help.

 

Looks like this makes two people looking for SS front ends... (I'm the other one).

 

I think he has a 2.2 and wants a 2.4 front end.

To the original poster - Buy some cheap Headlights off ebay and repaint them before installation.

Also with your hood - Buy OEM and have a body shop throw a hood scoop on for you. Make sure they cut the right air holes in your hood though!

are you trying to avoid dealing with your insurance to fix your car? or are they paying for it? if they are... go to a body shop and have them order the parts you need. all the bumper cost relativly the same price wise. there's like a couple of cents difference.

 

You need to do some shopping. The Halo HID lights are the only aftermarket lights I'm currently aware of. BioHazard has them. They are expensive. I don't know what OEM lights cost.

The facias of the base/LS/SS all cost about the same and are interchangeable. Remeber that the SS has molded in Fog lights, so if you didn't have fogs in the first place, you will now have empty holes.
