Need help with removing high rise ASAP!
Ok guys, well i'm in the process of removing my high rise.
I've used fishing line to the point of where i'm hitting the bolts, but it still won't pull off.
and i'm afraid to use to much force.
So my question is, do I just need to quit being afraid and pull the thing off? or what?

i had the same problem... i used a plastic squeegee thing to keep it from sticking to itself again but yea man ur gonna have to use some force... like on mine the holes for the bolts bent a lil bit but if ur gonna weld em shut and paint over it, its not gonna matter.. afterwords, go buy some goo gone and take off the left over gunk... and if its temporary like mine, grab a big piece of vinyl and cover up the whole decklid... the plastic squeegee that i used is for putting window tint i think and didnt leave any scratched.. and it definately helps to have someone else there helping you out

and my brothers helping me, so hopefully now I should get it off
undo the four nuts, get thicker fishing line and something to wrap the line around so you dont hurt the crap out of your hands and fingers, and a heat gun or hair dryer, then get to work!! lol

like i said, cover it with a piece of vinyl... you cant even notice it if u cut it to match the crease of the trunk... mine has held up all summer in 120 degree heat and the color is almost exactly the same

I was actually thinking of taking off mine so I can paint the top of it black and the bottom of the brackets black also, but reading this kinda made me change my mind LOL! The thing is I want to put it back one after it is painted u know and want it to look like it did before I took it off. Do any of u guys know if the top of the wing comes off??? If it's being held by bolts on the side of the brackets inside the plastic or is it glued??? Let me know if u already took it off bud.
