need a HID expert.

Ok so I've read a bizzillion stickies and posts about hids and im more confused than when i started. Basically I want a set up that I can remove my factory headlights and just install and plug in the new ones. Im wanting the white with blue tint hids maybe 4300?? idk and I want projectors right not reflectors? sorry for being such a dueche but i wanna know what i need in order for me and other drivers around me to be safe. So does someone make a basically plug and play headlight housing with projectors and hids for our cobalts?

many thx to any responses.

so is there a supporting vendor that sells the plug and play housing with the projectors and hids all installed so it would take me like 5 mins to remove old and replace with new? All i'd have to do is tell them i want 6000k, and when i get them screw em in and plug em in?

Those are the fog lights bud, The aftermarket projectors use h1 in the first and 3rd gen and h7 in the 2nd gen. Retrofits use D2S bulbs or one of those other OEM sizes

but to op, you're not gonna find them already finished from a supporting vendor, but I'm sure a fellow member or two will sell them all ready to go.

Unfortunately it's not so simple, the HID kit is more than just a bulb. It requires the ballast, which, in simple terms, is just another piece of hardware used to adjust the electricity to the likings of the bulb. But normally all you have to do is plug the bulb connector to the ballast and the ballast to the HID bulb so it's just another step added, unless you use the relay kit which is just an optional power option. To 07MetallicSC there is 4300k but it's the actually yellow bulb, and Stew he is correct, the temperature you would want is 6000k. And the bulb type depends on where you're putting them.

All the OEM HID's are 4300K which is the brightest colour bulb. I am just finishing up 2 sets of retrofit projector headlights with G35 projectors. Check my gallery to see pics of my retrofit I have already completed. If you are interested in a set let me know. They are obviously more money then the ebay projectors but they look 10 times better and the output is 10 times better.
