Need a little help
I have since decided im just going to paint my high rise myself. Spending $250 when my whole car will get painted later is just a waste of money right now. I know the idea on how to paint car parts, i did it in auto shop in high school...but i cant remember all of it Is there a good website of the whole process or can some expert on here help me? I know i have to sand it, wet sand it, sand it again, primer it, sand, paint....I think thats how it goes...I have no clue what grit sandpaper...and i need to find the best way to paint the damn thing white. Im in the process of finding a white close to my car color since im not buying straight from the dealership..[like i said, whole car is getting painted later] Soooooo...if anybody can give me and hints, pointers....would be great help!!! I do have access to a paint booth for like $15 a day-ah military perks!

Buy the color match spray paint from the dealer, it doesnt cost that much, and have at it. You took a class and you have a basic idea of whats going on. Hey if you screw up sand it off and try again.

You guys need to take it easy. Its her car, she works hard for it and she can do what she wants.
I say give spray painting it a try. the worst you can do is mess up.

it's temporary, so perfection isn't a "must" I'd assume...
that said, go for it. what do you have to lose aside from a few bucks? im sure you can do it if my semi-retarded brother can pull it off.
having never done it myself (aside from door jams, with a rattle can), I can't say how great this how-to site is...but here's what I found:

I do not like the high rise, but this post should not of been posted.
LS - best way is to strip allllllllllllllllll the blue off. Primer it then get that color match spray. You know the basics so that is all that matters.
Be careful with the clearcoat.
The guy who posted pics. I was like Honestly do not understand the layout.
