So I have a buddy that does powder coating and he'd be willing to hook it up so right now I'm on black oz ultralegerra's my car is a sport red tint coat. So I'm looking to do something a lil different and I was thing of illusion purple with top coat clear, thoughts on how that would look on a maroon car? My brembos are gold so they will show up awesome underneath. Let me know what you think or some other interesting colors that would look good. Here's some pics of the color

well, its your car, but honestly, whenever I see purple, green, and sometimes orange wheels I think of a some Japanese thing, it just looks really weird/ugly when people do it to cobalts.

I think the black/re you got goin on looks really nice.

but still, if you like it then go for it.

 

Go for it! Everyone and their mother does black and red. Be different, plus it's not like it permanent.. If you don't like it change them to something different

 

Ya I was looking other colors and purple I feel like would "more" go with the car lol cuz the srtc has a purplish tone too it. Ya I dunno just thoughts

 

i think black would look best but whatever you do, dont get the flake haha.

 

At first i was thinking about suggesting Yellow, but the Time Attack car had yellow wheels.

Purple will look nice with the gold calipers as you said, not sure how it will look on Maroon, they are both Dark colors, not alot of contrast

yeah do what you want. i love that color of purple and im not a big fan of purple either. not saying i think it would go with your car, but its your car so you do what you think looks good.

Purple is pushing it, but the color does look sick.

Maybe an even darker purple, at night it looks black, but during the day they're clearly purple. Pearlescent purple maybe?

 

Ya well see there's about a million colors to choose from and I was looking at darker copper and gold colors but then they will clash with my copper brakes

 

You should do this but with purple brakes. No clash and it would look sick.

Gunmetal IMO is a lot better looking than purple on a red car

I find funky wheel colours only work on black cars and maybe sometimes white cars.

Meh, colored wheels look like garbage IMO. I think the wheels look good and compliment the car well as is. Oh well, your car do what you want
