It's easy on simple parts, more complicated shapes get more tricky.
And tight curves or angles r a bitch lol

On interior on the trim edges is there an easy way to wrap it? And is real carbon from cloth better looking in person then the cheap vynl kind? Haven't seen much real carbon and never kind done by someone from the cloth kind

Also how many yards would it take to do the interior trim?

Well carbon fiber hood and stuff start out as fabric so that should answer that. And I'd like to think a yard would do the dash trim seeing as its 1 yard x 50-60"

No worries man just trying to be helpful. Whenever I wonder something I google it and look for vids on youtube. Been researching it for years but can't talk myself up enough to invest in the carbon fiber and resin to learn with. It would be an expensive mistake if I messed up. When I get ahead on money and can find bumpers for my civic I'd like to repaint it in morpheous metallic and use the purple cf for the hood and roof.

joe if you really want to practice try with fiberglass. you can go to a local autozone and pick up a small container of resin and some fiberglass mat for 10-15 bucks maybe (even thou buying it online or in bulk is way cheaper)

i really really recomend you dont try to cover something with CF cosmetically as your first attempt. its not "hard" however it is a skill and removing it isnt easy

Lol I've been doing fiberglass work for years now. Had to fix body work on bikes and other parts. Even built a custom seat cowl out of an old ripped up.pillion seat with woven fiberglass and bondo. Built the hump out of cardboard. I wrecked the bike a couple years ago and never got a pic of the finished product. Plus its been missplaced wih parts for the bike.

Check out my cf dash trim thread to c the look of real carbon dash pieces. A yard is more than u need to do a dash
