New To the Cobalt world

Hey guys im new to this whole cobalt world. Im looking into getting a 2008 ss/tc or a 2009 white ss/tc? Anyone have any recommendations on which color to get? Also does anyone recommend any parts to get for the car. I wanna try to turn it into a bada$$ ride. . If you do recommend a part could plz find a link to the part. I already have in mind K2Motor CCFL Halos with a Phillips HID kit.

Welcome! White has always been one of my favorites, as well as sport red tintcoat. As for mods, a catless downpipe and a tune are quite popular for starting mods

Welcome to CSS.net

Don't get Hahn, there products are way over priced for everything they have

ZZP, MPX, DEJON are all great choices

Get WHITE, that is the best color

Black or white if you don't mind having to wash it every other day. IMO, silver would be a good choice as far as not having to wash it every other day. As far as mods, listen to these guys. If you want to keep your warranty, GMS1 isn't bad.

Welcome! ZZP has great products for great prices. I would send every balt owner to no one but them. They also have the worlds fastest street Cobalt. Summit White is the best color by far with Imperial Blue being the second best.

You will need a catless DP and tune right away. Will be a night and day difference in your car.

Good luck with finding the right car for you and enjoy it!

Has anyone had problems with the clutch giving them troubles? i see all these ppl saying that the clutch sucks and to replace it with something better. What does everyone think about a Stage 3 ClutchMasters? and should i get the aluminum fly wheel by clutchmasters all.

Depends on how much dig racing or 1/4 drag strip racing you will do. If you don't do dig races at all the clutch will last you 30k+ miles. I went 25k on mine before it never slipped once and that's including a 13.3@115 pass.

It'll just depend on how you use the car, I'd keep the stock one in the car until it dies and then replace it. No sense in taking a perfectly good clutch out right away.

Think i might got with a Dejon Cold air intake and a dejon charge piping. i dont think i should put a aftermarket BOV on it since it has an internal one already. UGH so many decisions!! im really gonna have to look into all this alot deeper. I had my mind set on Hahn but i did notice they were alil expensive.

I think people who say the clutch sucks are the ones that are running higher than GMS1 (280HP/320TQ @ the crank). IIRC, people said the clutch is good for up to 350HP/350TQ @ the crank.

As far as gas mileage, GMS1 improved my mileage by about 1 mile, but then again, after having it, I can't stay off the boost, so it doesn't help. As well as with it being cold, my gas mileage has gone back to where it was this summer, which would be 23.1 mpg for me. Oh, and the stock tires won't last long either if you don't stay stock. I got GMS1 when the car had 8K miles on it. Now I'm getting new tires with 15K miles on the car

Really, any color looks good on these cars. I like em all. As previously stated, zzp, Modern performance, treadstone, performance autowerks, are all great places for power mods. Powell race shop is ftw for handling.

There's also a knockoff brand on here for that as well. I'll let the OP figure that one out

Damn. You're clutch must have been in better shape than you're tires

To the OP-welcome
You'll enjoy it no matter what color you end up with. And don't be afraid to use the search button; lots of good info on here.

watch out when buying philips HIDs. theres a lot of knockoffs out there and theres even a company called like Philips HIDs or something that sells different stuff than the actual OEM philips stuff.
