Help a newb here. What did you wire them into? And are the LEDs on all the time? I just we could just wire in a switch.

You wire them how ever you want. Hook up a swtich or a switched power source in the fuse box.

It looks like the bulbs stick out. You have to force a 20oz bottle into the drivers side cup holder, so it seems like this will render your cup holder useless. Are there any better installed pics without them lit up? I might do this myself with a sealed 12v led in the bottom. Should cost about $4.

Bulbs installed in the bottom would be 83128013 times better for functionality I believe.

they are very low in the cup holders so they fill the whole thing with light
i didn't want them in the bottom cuz i was thinking they'd shine up too much and be distracting

honestly, if it was more "mood" lighting like current cars, it would look cleaner.

The bulbs hardly stick out. Ive never seen a forum so picky about useless things and forcing a bottle in there? really have you ever used the cobalts cupholders. There too big and useless from the factory!

Mike If you want to stop by tonight, I can get some good shots with my camera.

Well...one of them is

I still maintain that the cup holder designer for the Cobalt should be fired if he hasn't been already.

Well probably being that you can see them at all is tacky. Thats all. Its a matter of taste and opinion. Not everyone wants things to look like they were added-on; many people like a factory look.
